Before the advent of air travel and a modernized road system, the majority of freight deliveries inland were made by railroad and steam-engine train. These magnificent chugging locomotives were very efficient and reliable by the standards of the time, but only when there was a competent driver on board!
Cargo Steam Train is a straight-forward, online freight transportation game where you have to move carriage-loads of barrels and boxes from one location to another (against the clock). Play the role of the determined train driver, and carefully negotiate the many hills and tricky mountainous landscapes of the Old West. The catch here is that your freight is riding in an open-top carriage, so one small mistake could lead to you losing some delivery items – which is completely unacceptable to your employers! You must deliver a minimum number of cargo items to the end of each level in order to complete the mission.
Keeping your freight on board can prove to be extremely difficult on the hilly and bumpy terrain, so you need to be very skilled at keyboard control, conscious of your speed, and able to make snap decisions in order to avoid losing any of your precious load. This is an enjoyable online train driving and delivery-based challenge which gets steadily more difficult as you progress, so you need to be constantly on your toes! Are we on the right track? In Train Driver Simulator, you can experience what it feels like to control a train! Control the speed of the train and make sure it stops on time and not collide with the other train. How to Play: Use the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard to control your train: Up Arrow = Accelerate; Down Arrow = Brake & Reverse; Left & Right Arrows = Lean back / forward. In each of the 10 progressively more difficult levels, your goal is to safely deliver a minimum number of items to the end of the level / track. At the beginning of each level, you have to position your train so that the freight can be carefully loaded into the open-top carriages at the back of the train. Press your Spacebar key to release the trapdoor and allow the cargo to fall into the train carriages.
Each level is filled with steep hills and drops, making it difficult to keep all of the freight in the back carriage. You must safely reach the end of the level with enough cargo items in place to complete the mission. Keep an eye on the clock in the top left corner of the play area. If you fail to complete the level in time, you must re-play the mission. Enjoy your train ride and exciting job!
